We are happy to introduce you to the first multimedia meeting in France, since 2002, focusing on web & media technologies and interactive contents in a prestigious cultural place Centre Pompidou, in Paris.
The Web Flash Festival, an event expected by an entire community and a discovery opportunity for others, will welcome more than 4 000 persons where meetings, creations, experiments and, of course celebration will be present !
The Web Flash Festival will be the first french-speaking festival devoted to the web contents. It will be an important moment of discovering, sharing, meeting, inspiring for actors and creatives of the web animation scene. This national manifestation, opened to the entire french-speaking word, will be organized around the themes of creation and artistic diffusion on the Internet Media or others communication medias. Its particularity will be its special focus on artistic, interactive and animate content, which will turn it into a unique and exceptional event in France.
The Web Flash Festival wants to promote and reveal french artistic and technical skills, and will be giving everyone the opportunity to learn, share, inspire and find out about the potential of present and future technologies in this domain.

Annulation de l’ édition 2010
C’est avec un peu de retard et beaucoup de peine que nous vous annonçons l’annulation de la 8e édition du Web flash festival qui devait se dérouler du 28 au 30 mai 2010 au Centre Pompidou (partenaire et lieu d’accueil historique depuis 2002).
Selon le dernier communiqué du Centre Pompidou, le niveau -1 qui nous est habituellement alloué n’est plus disponible car une exposition du musée d’art moderne, consacrée à l’artiste SARKIS est prolongée jusqu’à l’été. L’espace n’étant pas disponible ensuite et faute de temps et de moyens, il ne nous est pas possible à court terme de reporter ou de délocaliser l’évènement.
Cette annulation que nous regrettons tant pour notre public que pour la création numérique et ses acteurs que nous promouvons ne remet pas en question l’existence du festival qui a toujours su rencontrer son public. Elle ne saurait qu’en préciser les contours.
Le Centre Pompidou ayant émis le souhait de réitérer ce partenariat en mai 2011, nous avons opté pour l’annulation simple de l’édition 2010 pour nous consacrer à une prochaine édition que nous souhaitons majeure. Nous multiplions par exemple à dessein, les résidences de création du Web flash festival.
